If you are unsure about something have a look through our FAQs to see if the question you wish to ask has already been answered.
Your Physiotherapist will first of all have a chat with you about your condition and your medical history. You will then have a physical examination. Depending upon which area is to be examined, you may be asked to remove some clothing to allow your Physiotherapist to assess the area effectively. You will not be asked to remove anything that is not necessary. You may have a friend or relative accompany you for treatment if you wish. Your treatment options will be discussed and you will have your first treatment within your first session. If there is anything in particular you need to bring for treatment, your Physiotherapist will advise you when you book your appointment.
There is parking at the clinic but it is limited. You can park next door at the train station (£1 for 1 hour) or you can park at Bury Street or Union Street car park (£1 for 2 hours)- these are approximately a 2-3 mins walk to the clinic. Please allow time for parking in case you have to park elsewhere. If you have a large vehicle, you will need to park at one of the car parks listed above. Thank you for your co-operation.
We strive to see patients within 24-48 hours of their initial enquiry.
There is no need to see your GP prior to booking an appointment unless you are claiming through your medical insurance (see below). Otherwise, please just give us a call and we will be happy to book you in.
Most insurance companies will require you to contact them first in order to register your condition. Your insurance company will then provide you with an Authorisation number, which you will need when you book your appointment. Your treatment will then be invoiced directly to the company at the end of the treatment episode. You may be required to pay any excess relevant to your policy, or any shortfall, depending upon the level of your cover. Please note that some insurance companies will request a GP referral prior to giving authorisation for treatment. Please note we are registered with WPA, Vitality Health, AXA, AVIVA (we are not registered with Bupa)
Each patient is assessed on an individual basis, and at no time will you be asked to purchase a set number of treatment sessions. We try to keep the number of treatments to a minimum to keep your costs down, and you will not be expected to book more sessions than you require.
Jo, Matt and Hannah all offer appointments after 5pm, but these are popular appointments so please book early to avoid disappointment.
